![]() ![]() ![]() It's sometimes easier to prevent lint from accumulating on your fabrics than to remove it. Alternatively, gently rub some soft-grain sandpaper over the garment. Don't press too hard or the stone may tear the fabric. Pumice stone Roll the stone lightly over the garment.Be patient, as this method can be very time consuming. Single-edged razor Hold the razor at an angle and gently slide it over the garment, being very careful not to cut or nick the fabric.Replace the adhesive lint sheet when it's covered with lint. Remove fluff from the bottom of your pockets before you wash your clothes. Make sure your washing machine and dryer have clean filters. Alternatively, rub it gently away with a rough surface, such as pumice or a scouring sponge. Scented lint rollers are available that give your clothing a fresh smell. To remove lint from clothes: Lift it away with something mildly adhesive, such as a lint roller or sticky tape. Lint roller Move the roller back and forth over the clothing until all the lint is removed. ![]() Alternatively, cut strips of masking tape, press them on the garment and then lift them off with the lint. I tend to use the stone prior to washing a sweater.Ģ: Hold the fabric taut with one hand. With the sweater stone in the other hand, use a brisk but gentle stroke to remove the fuzz.ģ: Repeat brushing as often as necessary.Ĥ: Pick the fuzz up and put it in the bowl, so that it doesn’t get messy on your table.ĥ: Don’t forget the bottom and side part.Ħ: Use a lint roller to collect the crumbly bits from the sweater stone and catch some small lint to clean up. According to the manufacturer, this is because the stone breaks off a tiny chunk whenever it encounters too much resistance, rather than snagging material. Although the crumbly bits can be shaken off easily. This is a fantastic garment grooming aid which is a lightweight natural pumice in a product designed specifically for removing lint balls from clothing.
